Requirements
Bachelor`s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent education with three (3) years relevant working experience or three-year (3) National Diploma in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent education with four (4) years relevant working experience with strong ICT related competencies which also includes ICT support and administration. Excellent technical troubleshooting skills working with desktop and notebook computers and printers in a network environment. Excellent knowledge of installing, repairing, and supporting current versions of Windows operating systems. Experience in setting up and supporting Windows environment, networking, computer hardware, printer maintenance and different applications. Ability to work with ICT and computer laboratory users. Strong oral communication skills and good working relations with users and IT technical staff.
Duties
IT Technician – Computer Laboratories provides ICT-related support to computer laboratories, ICT Technical Staff, and computer laboratory users. They also offer technical ICT and user support to the University community. This includes installing, upgrading, troubling, and/or repairing both hardware and software of standalone and networked PCs, tablets PCs, laptops, desktop computers, printers, scanners and copiers.
