A relevant Honours or Four-year Professional Degree at NQF Level 8 in Information Systems/Technology, Statistics, Demography, Data Science, or Informatics. A Master's degree or above will be an advantage Plus, Seven (7) years of relevant experience in any combination of the following areas within a higher education institution or related organizations such as DHET, SAQA, CHE, or ETDP SETA: Management Information Systems or Information Systems in Higher Education Institution, Experience in dashboard creation, Submission of Institutional data for ranking purpose, Conducting quantitative and qualitative research, Development of the institutional enrolment planning, Data interpretation and analysis is a pre-requisite

Duties

Develop, implement, and maintain the university’s Management Information Systems (MIS) by integrating data from various university information systems.
Institutional data analysis and interpretation
Update and administer the university’s MIS portal.
Develop and implement Business Intelligent System aligned with university processes.
Oversee the Higher Education Management Information System (HEMIS) and submissions of statutory reports to the Department of Higher Education and Training (DHET).
Ensure accurate data is available timeously for decision-making.
Create dashboards according to the needs of academic and resource staff.
Collaborate with faculties to develop academic structures aligned to the Higher Education Qualification sub-framework (HEQSF).
Facilitate the development of the institutional enrolment planning and liaise with DHET/Statutory bodies
Develop reports for various stakeholders and deliver business intelligence dashboards for the university and various business functions; and respond to ad-hoc data/information requests.
Ensure compliance with the university’s policies, procedures, and practices for data/information provision and data warehousing practices.
Write executive Reports for management decisions aligned to data analysis and interpretation
