LLB Honours Degrees     •    To support teaching, research, student development, and administrative functions within the Department of Mercantile and Private Law, contributing to a student-centred, research-informed, and community-engaged academic environment.
•    Draft pleadings, affidavits, contracts, and correspondence. Prepare notices, summonses, and applications for filing in court. Assist in compiling bundles for hearings and trials.
•    Attend court proceedings with supervising attorneys.
•    Observe trials, motions, and applications to learn procedure.
•    Sometimes appear in court for less complex matters under supervision
•    Conduct initial interviews with clients.
•    Take instructions and prepare consultation notes.
•    Maintain communication with clients regarding progress of matters.
•    Research case law, statutes, and regulations relevant to matters.
•    Prepare legal opinions and memoranda for supervising attorneys.
•    Stay updated on developments in legislation and practice
